COVID 19 Community Support

In light of the announcement that individuals and families must stay at home, it is more important than ever that we do everything we can do to support each other.
The parish council would like to ask for volunteers to help those that need assistance across the parish.

Can you please email the Parish Clerk, Steve Cox, on clerk@dartmoorforestpc.net, specifying if you are able to help with any of the following:
  • Shopping
  • Dog Walking
  • Collecting & delivering prescriptions
  • Help with home schooling (via telephone or email)
  • Phone befriending – We are very mindful of those self-isolating and missing the very natural activity of communication! While most will have computers, there are some in the Parish who do not. And even with access to social media, the friendly voice of a local can be welcome!
  • Other - please describe what support you could provide, recognising the current restrictions on being outside home and travelling

Could you please also specify what areas could you support:
  • Princetown
  • Postbridge
  • Hexworthy & Huccaby
  • Parish-wide and further

Please provide your name, address, contact telephone numbers and email address and how you can help?

The parish council will produce a simple list of those that can provide assistance which will be on the council’s website and printed for local shops and notice boards to display.
Those that need assistance can then contact volunteers directly to request assistance.
It is therefore important that you understand and agree that your name, contact telephone numbers and email address will be published.

Local Businesses
In addition, we would like to also include details of any businesses local to the parish that can provides services to those in our community self-isolating:
Do you provide any of the following?
  • home delivery, or order and collect of groceries
  • take-away food service,
  • provide online services (e.g. yoga and fitness classes)
Please email the Parish Clerk with details of what your business can provide
