NEWS FOR BUSINESSES

INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN PRINCETOWN VISITOR CENTRE EVENTS; PRINCETOWN BUSINESS FORUM AND PUBLICITY FOR PRINCETOWN AS A VISITOR ATTRACTION - January 2016.
I did intend to provide details of the forthcoming Princetown Visitor Centre (PVC) events at our meeting, so belatedly please see below for a list.  As you can see the Visitor Centre will be closed briefly for a week to allow for refurbishment and improvements with the all the ‘new and improved’ areas of the Centre fully open by April.  Dates are given for the Summer and Christmas Fairs, if any community activities or businesses such as any new Duchy Square tenants  would like to be involved, offer linked events etc. then they should contact Rachel Hone at the PVC, details below.

Some of you may remember previous attempts to resurrect a Princetown Business Forum.  The number of likely new tenants for Duchy Square and for Lords would indicate that this may be worth revisiting and exploring whether there is a need and desire for businesses to network and collaborate. As a starter, we would be happy to host an informal evening event in the Visitor Centre where new businesses can meet with existing, the PC, DNPA, Duchy etc. and have a nose round the visitor centre, probably looking at a date fairly soon after the Easter school break, so 2nd/3rd/4th week of April.

Given that Princetown should undergo somewhat of a transformation by summer 2016 with a number of projects coming to fruition, we are also considering how we can raise its profile as a destination.   To this end we will be pushing to get a feature article in the WMN (June?) and others that will include the revamped Visitor centre offer, granite and gears cycling routes, all the new business activity and visitor offer, but avoiding roof top protests!

Comments welcome and do let me know how you would like to be involved.
